For the “Best of Show” award we will be leaving it up to YOU to tell us which show is the BEST. Stay tuned for nominations opening during the summer.
The top FIVE entries are presently being reviewed by a select panel of judges and then will be voted on through an extensive social media and PR campaign to discover which one deserves to be named “Best of Show”.
The show managers from the five shows will be invited to the 2013 TSNN Awards: Celebrating Trade Show Excellence Nov. 1-3 in Reno, Nev., where the winner will be named.
We also will present the Industry Icon Award for real achievement in the industry by celebrating the work of a true icon in the business. It is those that have led the industry for many years that we applaud with this honor.
“It was a great honor to be the first recipient of the Industry Icon Award. To be recognized by TSNN and industry peers was a great surprise and wonderful experience. TSNN has been a leading voice in the industry and the TSNN Event Excellence Awards are evidence of the innovation and leadership TSNN brings to our industry.” - Robert E. Harar, founder and CEO of National Trade Productions and first recipient of TSNN's Industry Icon Award at the 2010 TSNN Event Excellence Awards.
We're looking for a few good show managers!
Nominations will open soon for The Expo Group’s Show Manager of the Year Awards (SMOTY) returning this November. In conjunction with the 4th Annual 2013 TSNN Awards: Celebrating Trade Show Excellence Nov. 1-3 in Reno, Nev.
Five innovative show managers will be honored at the gala dinner and take part in the weekend-long TSNN industry celebration. In addition to industry-wide recognition, SMOTY honorees receive a $500 donation to the charity of their choice courtesy of The Expo Group.
“We started this award program over 10 years ago to bring attention to show managers in our industry who were really making a difference,” says Ray Pekowski, President and CEO of The Expo Group. “Over the years we have been able to donate over $50,000 to charity but more importantly we have shined the spotlight on people who might otherwise be toiling behind the scenes. SMOTY winners have been from all industries and included show managers just starting out with small shows to those in the twilight of their career.”
Criteria for the SMOTY awards include innovative practices, customer service, commitment to success and the ability to overcome obstacles. All nominees are judged by an independent panel of industry notables. This award is open to any show manager in the industry and there is no cost to nominate someone.
