Paddock Analyst & Host of "Dawn at Oaklawn" program
Nancy Ury-Holthus, an Arkansas native, is a third generation horseman. She became a Racing Official at age 19 and spent roughly ten years working a variety of roles in Racing Offices on the Chicago and Southern California circuits. She then landed a full-time management position at Hollywood Park as Stable Superintendent, and also became an accredited Steward in California. During this time, she became an on-air personality for TVG, a national network dedicated to broadcasting horse races. After a decade in Southern California, Nancy moved back to Hot Springs, Arkansas after meeting her now husband, trainer Paul Holthus. Once back in Arkansas, she transitioned her television skills to Oaklawn Park where she serves as Paddock Analyst and Host of the popular Dawn at Oaklawn program where she’s interviewed multiple Hall of Fame jockeys and trainers. In addition, she has emceed numerous charity and local events. Her circuit now also includes Indiana Grand where she is Paddock Analyst. She and Paul own and operate NPH Stables which consists of approximately twenty thoroughbreds and one goat. They welcomed their first foal on the night of the 2018 Kentucky Derby.
