Joe Arnold has informed Louisville and Kentucky television and radio audiences for more than twenty years. His reporting and anchoring on WHAS-TV were recognized with top awards from the Associated Press and Emmy Awards for investigations and blogging. Regarded as “tough but fair” by the politicians and civic leaders he covered, Joe also won an Emmy Award for his weekly political program, The Powers That Be.
Prior to moving to television fulltime in 2001, he hosted the daily Joe Arnold Show first on WWKY Radio, and later on WHAS Radio. For several years, Joe was also the public address announcer at Cardinal Stadium for the Louisville Redbirds baseball club. Early in his career, Joe toured nationally and regionally as a professional actor and singer. A graduate of Leadership Louisville and Lindenwood College with a triple major in Mass Communications, History and Political Science, Joe is a history buff and political commentator.
Since 2015, Joe has led the communications team at the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives, including Kentucky Living magazine. He lives in Louisville with his wife and two children.
